Entertainment – The Subconscious Garden

Have you ever noticed how a certain song can make you feel super brave, or how a scary movie can make your heart race even though you know you’re just sitting on a couch? This is because entertainment isn’t just “fun”, it is a direct line into your subconscious mind.

If your mind is a garden, entertainment is the seed, the water, and sometimes, the weeds.

From “Bread and Circus” to Your Smartphone

Long ago, in Ancient Rome, the leaders had a trick to keep people from noticing when things were going wrong. They called it “Bread and Circuses.” If you give people enough food (bread) and enough distractions (gladiators and races in the circus), they will stay quiet and won’t ask difficult questions about who is running the show and why they are making the decisions that they are.

Today, the “circus” is everywhere. It’s in your pocket, on your walls, and in your ears. But the tools have become much more advanced. We are living in a time of Dopamine Overdose. Every “like,” every level-up, and every auto-playing video gives your brain a tiny squirt of a chemical called dopamine that makes you feel a quick “high.” For many people, this has become an addiction. While you are busy chasing the next hit of dopamine, you are too distracted to notice the “Invisible Strings.”

The Language of the Subconscious

The reason entertainment is such a powerful pillar is that it speaks a language your soul understands, but your logical brain often ignores.

Vibrations and Sound: Everything in the universe vibrates at a certain frequency. Music and sounds can be tuned to make you feel calm, or they can be modified to make you feel anxious, angry, or “heavy” without you knowing why.

Encoded Symbols: Have you ever seen symbols in cartoons or music videos that look strange or out of place? These are “keys” that unlock certain doors in your subconscious. They tell your brain what to value or fear before you’ve even had a chance to think about it.

Lights and Frequencies: The flashing lights and specific colors on your screen are designed to keep your eyes “locked in.” It’s a form of soft hypnosis that keeps you in a state of “Unconsciousness” and thus easy to manipulate.

The Corruption of Art

Art, music, and performance were originally meant to help the soul express itself and connect with the Source. But in the current system, much of this has been corrupted. Instead of art that makes you feel powerful and wise, we are often given entertainment that makes us focus on things that don’t really matter, like being famous, having expensive “stuff,” or being better than someone else at something.

When your focus is manipulated in this way, it’s easy to lose sight of your Soul’s “Master Plan.” If you are constantly watching someone else’s life, you aren’t living your own.

Tending Your Garden

To take control of this pillar, you have to become the Gardener of your Mind. You have to be very careful about what you let through the gates.

The next time you are about to play a game, watch a video, or listen to a new album, ask yourself these questions:

  1. How does this make my body feel? (Does it feel light and happy, or tight and tired?)
  2. What is this trying to teach me? (Is it teaching me to be a “Worker” or a “Polymath”?)
  3. Is this helping me, or just distracting me?

Your subconscious is the most fertile soil on Earth. If you don’t plant your own seeds of greatness, someone else will plant their weeds of distraction. You have the power to turn off the noise and listen to the music of your own soul.

For three hours today; no screens, no music, no games. See what thoughts grow in your garden when it’s finally quiet. It helps to have a journal to scribble your thoughts into so you can start separating the You from the external noise. And, you might even be surprised by the amazing ideas your soul has been trying to tell you!
