Economy – The Energy Exchange

Have you ever looked closely at a dollar bill? It’s just a piece of paper with some green ink and a few symbols on it. It isn’t magic, and you can’t eat it. Yet, almost every human on Earth spends their entire life chasing these pieces of paper so they can buy food, clothes, and a place to sleep.

In the Six Pillars, the Economy is the system used to manage your survival. But if you look behind the curtain, you’ll see that money is actually an illusion, a very powerful one.

The Mystery of the Shrinking Dollar

Have you ever heard your parents complain that things are more expensive than they used to be? This is called devaluation (or inflation). If money is just paper, why does it lose its value over time? Why can’t we just print more so everyone is rich?

The truth is, if you print more paper, the paper becomes less special. The people who “created” the system (the big banks and the top 1%) know this. They control the flow of this paper like a faucet. When they want the economy to “crash,” they turn the faucet off. Because they know when the crashes are coming, they can protect their own wealth while everyone else loses theirs. This is why the game often feels “unfair” because it was designed by those who already own the board.

The Secret Currency: Your Time

Here is a big secret that you should know: You don’t buy things with money. You buy them with your Life.

If you want a new pair of shoes that costs $100, and you earn $10 an hour at a job, those shoes don’t cost $100. They cost 10 hours of your life. You had to wake up, travel to work, and give away 10 hours of your soul’s energy to get those shoes.

Once those 10 hours are gone, you can never get them back.

When you start looking at the world this way, your “Economy” changes. You start to realize that your Time is the only real wealth you have. Every time you spend money, you are trading a piece of your life.

Do I Need It, or Do I Want It?

The Economy pillar works best when you are “unconscious.” It wants you to see a cool toy or a fast car and think, “I need that to be happy!” This keeps you running on the treadmill, working more hours to buy more things.

But a Soul Explorer knows how to live in Reality. Before you trade your precious time for an object, ask yourself:

  1. Do I need this for my survival or growth?
  2. Or do I just want it because a commercial (the Entertainment pillar) told me to?

If you only buy what you truly need and what truly supports your soul’s growth, you suddenly need much less money. And when you need less money, you don’t have to give away so much of your time to the “system.”

Shifting the Energy

Is there another way to trade? Of course! Before money existed, people traded skills and energy directly. I help you build a fence; you give me some eggs from your chickens. This is a direct energy exchange.

Financial Freedom isn’t about having a billion dollars in the bank. It’s about owning your own time. When you understand that money is just a tool, and a bit of an illusion, you stop being a slave to it. You start to use the economy pillar to your advantage instead of letting it control where you go and what you do.

You are a soul in a body. Your energy is worth more than any piece of printed paper. Use it or be used.
