Have you ever wondered why you like the things you like, or why you think certain things are “good” and others are “bad”? Since the day you were born, you’ve been learning how to be you. But a lot of what you think makes up you is actually the compilation of the world that surround you.
Imagine the world is like a giant stage, and there are six massive pillars holding up the roof. These pillars aren’t made of stone; they are made of ideas, rules, and habits. If someone wanted to lead everyone on Earth in a certain direction, they wouldn’t need to chase people around; they would simply need to control these six pillars.
The Six Pillars Holding Up Your Life
- Education: This isn’t just about math and spelling. It’s about how you have learned to think. Sometimes, schools are designed to turn you into a “worker”, someone who just follows instructions rather than a “polymath,”someone who can do and understand many different things.
- Religion & Spirituality: Systems that guide people on how to decide what is right or wrong and explore what happens after we die. It’s like an inner compass for your soul. They can encourage you to think for yourself or to think one certain way is correct over others.
- Entertainment: Think of every movie, video game, and song. They don’t just entertain you; they teach your brain what to be afraid of, what to laugh at, and what to dream about.
- The Economy: This is the system of money and survival. It decides what you have to do to get food, toys, and a house. It’s the “gas” that makes the world’s engine run.
- Health: A truly great health system wants to cure you so you never have to come back. But sometimes, systems focus on “managing” things or, keeping you just healthy enough to keep going, but never truly strong.
- Government: These are the big rules we all live by. It’s the “Boss” of all the other pillars.
The “Persona” Mask
When you learn to talk, act, and follow traditions, you are building a Persona. Think of it like a character skin in a video game. You wear this skin so you can fit into society. But because you’ve been wearing it since you were a baby, it’s easy to forget that the skin isn’t the real you.
If you only ever see the world through the eyes of these six pillars, it’s hard to know if the choices you make are actually yours. Are you eating that snack because you like it, or because a commercial (Entertainment) and your friends (Education/Social) told you it was cool?
How to Spot “The Glitch”
Sometimes, something happens that feels a little “off.” Maybe you see a rule that doesn’t make sense, or you realize that a supposed “cure”is just another band-aid. We call this The Glitch. It’s that precise moment where you wonder: “Is this really how the world is, or is this just how I was told it is?”
To truly understand these pillars, you have to practice Systemic Detachment. That sounds complicated, but it just means stepping back and looking at the pillars like they are tools or technology. A hammer is a tool: you can use it to build a house, or you can let it sit in a box. The 6 pillars are the same. They are technologies designed to direct human energy.
Why This Matters for Your Future
The challenge is that we use the “tools” the system gave us (like our language and logic) to try and study the system itself. It’s like trying to use a ruler to measure the ruler!
By understanding these pillars now, you can start making Conscious Decisions. You can decide:
- To be a Polymath (someone who learns everything and how it all connects) instead of just acting as a mindless worker NPC.
- To look for Cures that address root causes instead of continuing to manage problems.
- To choose your Habits instead of letting marketing and entertainment choose them for you.
When you see the strings behind the curtain, you aren’t just a character in someone else’s master plan anymore. You become the architect of your own life. Start looking for the glitches, question the socially accepted norms, and remember: the pillars are set to support you, not to trap you.
